About The Position

The Bellperson position at Hokulani Waikiki, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, involves providing excellent service while assisting owners and guests with luggage to and from their rooms in a timely, courteous, and safe manner, handling other special requests as needed. The role requires monitoring the property front entrance and guest arrivals, greeting and assisting owners and guests, providing instructions regarding room amenities and property services, delivering messages and requested items, and ensuring a clean and organized front entrance and lobby area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Able to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to lift, carry, or transport luggage weighing a maximum of 75 lbs.
  • Able to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move or push packages, bags and luggage on a hand truck/cart or other wheeled assistance weighing a maximum of 500 lbs.
  • Able to optimally assist internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Basic language skills both verbally and in writing to connect with guests, owners and co-workers, and fully comprehend job assignments.
  • Able to schedule changes and cover shifts on short notice.
  • A courteous and professional demeanor must prevail when handling upset guests and difficult situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hotel/hospitality experience preferred in a customer service capacity.
  • Prior Bell person or Door person experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor property front entrance and guest arrivals.
  • Greet and assist owners and guests transporting and/or securing their luggage appropriately.
  • Provide instructions regarding the amenities of the room and property services and activities provided for guests' use.
  • Deliver messages, express check-out folios, newspapers and other requested items.
  • Report any problems or unusual activities to management.
  • Ensure an organized, safe and clean front entrance and lobby area.
  • Carry out reasonable requests by management including assisting other departments.
