An Agent in Airport Operations at Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) oversees inbound and outbound flight activity, updates schedules, and manages gate assignments to ensure smooth airport operations. The role involves preparing daily reports on domestic and international arrivals and departures, including FIDS updates and inputting schedule and gate changes. Agents coordinate with various departments and contractors for emergency situations and fuel stops at the terminal, manage gate control, and assign gates for charter flights. They are also responsible for notifying Sky Caps for special requests like wheelchair assistance, preparing and collecting data via two-way radios, and maintaining records of aircraft, flights serviced, and services performed. The position requires monitoring computers, phone calls, and surveillance cameras, completing customer billing documents when necessary, and complying with WFS site security procedures. Agents must observe WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors' activities, and report any security breaches, suspicious activity, or non-compliance to management or through the WFS whistleblower program.
