In this role, you will support the Field Management team as the first point of contact in the onboarding and training for newly contracted Landstar Agents. Your support experience, engagement skills, and ability to influence strong relationships will play a key role in helping Agents navigate their learning process. You will deliver exceptional internal customer service to ensure a positive and successful initial six months, at minimum, for our Agents. Your ability to continuously learn and adapt will be vital to your success in this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General education degree (GED)
  • One year of administrative customer service
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships, fostering communication and cooperation with agents and Region personnel. Always maintain professional demeanor, including attire and hygiene
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet knowledge
  • Ability to analyze and apply critical thinking to solve issues in a timely manner
  • Effective communication skills in all modes
  • Ability to travel as required for onsite training or meetings and pre-pay for approved reimbursable expenses (i.e. hotel, meals, rental vehicles). Flights are paid for by the Company in advance.

  • 6 months of presentation experience, training experience, or equivalent of both

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive training on all Landstar systems, tools, and sites
  • Deliver engaging and effective online and in person training sessions
  • Monitor new agent performance at 45/90/180-day intervals
  • Conduct weekly workshop training for agency staff members
  • Process and respond to agents' customer account inquiries
  • Function as the initial corporate point of contact for new agents
  • Provide operational support on a vast amount of topics
  • Communicate and collaborate with Region Team personnel
  • Perform system demonstrations in person and/or virtually
  • Other duties as assigned
