Agency Technology Specialist (ATS) The Agency Technology Specialist (ATS) is responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting the firm’s technology across both core and detached offices. This role ensures compliance with corporate technology standards, drives adoption of new tools, protects firm and client data, and serves as the primary point of contact for firmwide technology needs. The ATS combines hands‑on technical expertise with effective communication, training, and cybersecurity awareness. Technology Support & Technology Management Function as the first point of contact for technical issues and coordinate with enterprise support, as needed. Implement and manage firm technology standards and tools. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes for business devices. Support advisors and staff in effective use of technology and best practices. Educate and influence advisors and staff on technology best practices and cybersecurity awareness. Learn how the financial services business works and use that knowledge to support advisors, their technology, and the firm End‑User Support Troubleshoot desktop, software, and system issues for advisors and staff. Train users on new and existing technologies in partnership with firm training resources. Identify opportunities to improve productivity through better technology utilization. Compliance & Protocol Adherence Develop expertise in all field technology policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with corporate security, regulatory, and technology requirements. Educate users on protocol expectations and reinforce consistent adherence. Device & Infrastructure Management Manage onboarding and offboarding of business devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and related equipment. Maintain accurate device inventories, encryption logs, and other required documentation. Perform system maintenance, security patching, and required updates. Manage file servers and equipment rooms, and ensure all devices meet corporate standards. Backup, restore, and protect firm data according to defined schedules. Security Administration Process access requests, user modifications, and terminations. Complete required access reviews and security audits. Maintain strict controls on permissions and safeguard sensitive data. Cybersecurity & Fraud Prevention Promote a “cyber strong” culture within the firm. Monitor for cybersecurity risks and respond according to established procedures. Educate users on security threats, fraud trends, and prevention measures. Partner with enterprise security teams on incident response. Change Management & Technology Adoption Support readiness and rollout of new technology initiatives. Encourage consistent adoption of approved tools. Evaluate new solutions prior to broader implementation. Documentation & Training Requirements Maintain electronic documentation and support records. Track technology support requests to identify trends. Complete required ATS training and participate in monthly technology discussions. Engage in peer collaboration groups and community forums.
