About The Position

The Agency Representative role is responsible for providing the services necessary to support the recruiting, licensing, contracting and termination of producers, organizations, and brokers of Athene's multiple and diverse distribution systems. The challenge of this position is to build contracts to support specified commission structures, and to ensure licensing and contracting in compliance with the state statutes, laws and guidelines.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of customer service experience required.
  • One year of processing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Efficient/effective use of processing systems and PC systems/software.
  • Ability to understand questions and interpret requests.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work in a high pressure, time intensive, customer service work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Continuing education (LOMA, Classes, Seminars) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Processes contracting applications by reviewing contract forms to ensure they are complete, they are in compliance with State Insurance Departments, and to determine the compensation structure requested by the requesting party.
  • Conducts a moderate to complex review to determine if there are outstanding requirements based on established guidelines.
  • Builds the contract on the appropriate systems and subsystems to support the desired commission structure.
  • Performs state due diligence prior to contracting producers.
  • Completes a confidential background check by ordering and reviewing the appropriate financial documents (Credit report, criminal report, vector report and NAIC state producer database reports) as required by Athene and the respective State Insurance departments.
  • Determine if a producer or organization meets established company guidelines for approval.
  • Approves or recommends declining the producer based on information in the matrix.
  • Works with Producer Review area to review recommendations to decline producers and to receive final approval to decline a producer.
  • Completes producer contracting and appointments in a date sensitive manner to ensure compliance in the acceptance and processing of new business submitted by a producer.
  • Interacts with State Insurance departments regarding licensing, appointments, and terminations to ensure compliance with all state guidelines and statutes.
  • May assist with the processing of state appointment renewals.
  • Maintain producer contracts by processing moderate to complete contract changes, reinstatements, transfers, and terminations.
  • Corresponds with external customers via email or outbound calls to resolve good order requirements.
