The position involves managing the Elatas Risk Partner’s book of business and its associated operations, completing a variety of agency support and customer sales and service functions. The role requires cooperation with management, coworkers, customers, and vendors to support LAMMICO’s mission and vision. The individual will contribute to the department’s strategic and operational planning, ensuring quality, service, and productivity standards are met. The position reports directly to the VP of Business Development & Sales.

  • Work cooperatively with management, coworkers, customers, and vendors.
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s strategic and operating planning.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with all employees, policyholders, and outside vendors.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries regarding ERP’s products and services.
  • Market quotes and renewals to insurance carriers and brokers.
  • Develop and maintain prospect/client proposals.
  • Review new business and renewal policies.
  • Handle transactions, endorsements, and COIs relating to ERP’s clients.
  • Distribute and file assigned incoming mail and correspondence.
  • Assist LAMMICO accounting department in reconciling accounts.
  • Process agency operating and trust cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Ensure timely collection of Agency Billed receipts and payment to carriers.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and recommend actions.
  • Maintain Agency AMS database and client files.
  • Nurture relationships with insurance carriers and brokers.
  • Develop and assist with training on new agency processes.
  • Manage LAMMICO’s bond needs for the claims department.
  • Consult with the CFO on LAMMICO’s insurance policies.
  • Participate in screenings and appointments for new LAMMICO agents.
  • Manage and renew LAMMICO’s/Elatas’ licenses with multiple states.
  • Represent the Agency at business functions as needed.
  • Meet with agency clients and prospects to sell agency products and services.
  • Maintain Agency manuals.
  • P&C license required; must acquire licenses for all other lines of insurance sold by Elatas as necessary after hire.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or five years of experience in the insurance industry or inside marketing of all Elatas Risk Partner’s product lines.
  • Working knowledge of DOI regulations pertaining to insurance agencies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to service and deal with demanding customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer focus and team orientation.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive company information.
  • Commitment to continuing industry and individual functional education.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities, and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, AMS, and ImageRight.
