This position is located at 1584 Yanceyville St., Greensboro, NC and will be considered a Central HR employee. The Human Resources Qualifications and Salary Administration group is looking for a highly motivated individual to perform as a subject matter expert and supervisor for the Division 7 Human Resources group. This group works at a fast pace to meet multiple deadlines at a high degree of accuracy. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a supervisor and Human Resources professional in the areas of qualification review, salary administration, BEACON support, and HR consultation. The holder of this position is expected to perform their workload independently and professionally with a high degree of accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution
  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience initiating, approving, and completing personnel actions in a database system such as FIORI (formerly known as BEACON)
  • Knowledge of personnel practices, policies, and procedures particularly in the areas of merit-based hiring and salary administration
  • Experience composing Human Resources information for disbursement to employees and management
  • Working knowledge of an applicant tracking system such as NEOGOV or Workday
  • Experience coordinating and attending recruitment events such as hiring events and/or career fairs

Responsibilities

  • Perform as a subject matter expert and supervisor for the Division 7 Human Resources group
  • Serve as a supervisor and Human Resources professional in the areas of qualification review, salary administration, BEACON support, and HR consultation
  • Perform workload independently and professionally with a high degree of accuracy
  • Comprehend and apply leave of absence and classification policies
  • Work with Division 7 managers in interpreting and applying personnel and departmental policies
  • Supervise a group of technicians that support the Division
  • Provide technical support, problem resolution, hiring package approval
  • Participate in special HR projects
  • Consult with managers and employees within the Division regarding qualification and salary administration policies and procedures
