About The Position

If so, this could be the opportunity for you! The YMCA of the North Shore is seeking a dedicated Age-Group Swim Coach to guide and inspire the next generation of competitive swimmers. Our SHARKS Swim Team is a YMCA/USA Swim program located just north of Boston, operating across four sites with more than 300 swimmers ages 5–18.. In this role, you will: Develop and lead age-appropriate workouts that emphasize technique, endurance, stroke development, and drills. Conduct structured practices that prepare athletes for competition while fostering teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. Track attendance, maintain detailed training plans, and monitor swimmer progression. Build meaningful relationships with swimmers, families, and volunteers to create a supportive team environment. Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Competitive Swimmer an or Coach
  • Demonstrable knowledge of swimmer development and stroke technique
  • Certifications from USA Swimming or YMCA Swimming are required as part of the hiring process
