Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is hiring a Pulmonary and Critical Care AGACNP/PA-C to join their employed physician group on the West Coast of Florida. FPG Pulmonology specializes in the areas of Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. This premier group of over 40 providers has been delivering exceptional care to the residents of the Suncoast for the last 31 years.   • Full-time AGACNP or PA-C
  • Based at SMH-Sarasota campus
  • Outpatient clinic, Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Inpatient PCC coverage one weekend/month (with two weekdays off)
  • Manage 12–18 clinic patients/day
  • No call requirements
  • Sleep and Pulmonology experience a plus; willing to train a motivated team player
  • Current NCCPA or ANCC certification required and must also have an active license by the State of Florida by the time of hire.
  • Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
  • Board Certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner, who has active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 1,000 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
  • ACLS/BLS required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated written & verbal communication & strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with physicians and other allied health personnel in the hospital and/or office setting.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing.
  • Demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing.
  • Effective interaction skills to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
  • Effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of state, federal and local health care agencies and programs.
