Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is seeking to employ an AGACNP/PA-C with specialization in Gastroenterology to join their growing employed physician group on the West Coast of Florida.   • Perform physical examinations of patients.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with GI related conditions in the hospital and out-patient setting.
  • Work four (4) 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including one weekend a month.
  • No call requirements.
  • Current NCCPA or ANCC certification required and must also have an active license by the State of Florida by the time of hire.
  • Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
  • Board Certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner, who has active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 1,000 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
  • BLS required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of state, federal and local health care agencies and programs.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with physicians and other allied health personnel in the hospital and/or office setting.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing.
  • Demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing.
  • Demonstrated written & verbal communication & strong analytical skills.
  • Effective interaction skills to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
  • Effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations.
