About The Position

We are looking for a Ag Strategic Account Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team supporting the entire United States. BASF’s Agricultural Solutions division connects innovation, customers, partners and agricultural experts and integrates sustainability criteria into all business decisions. We help farmers deliver the best possible outcomes, working to achieve the balance between economic, environmental, and social value creation for sustainable and efficient agriculture. As a Ag Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing Strategic accounts. You will meet BASF specified targets by creating value for the existing customer base and prospecting for new opportunities with products, services, and/or solutions from BASF. You will need to have easy access to an airport, allowing you to service your Strategic accounts. Your main geography will be national in scope covering the entire United States (minimum of 70% travel required).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 13-15 years’ experience in Account Management, Field Sales Management, Marketing, and/or Business Development within the Agricultural field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Agricultural Business, or Agricultural Science or related and 15 years' experience or MS/MBA and 13 years' experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint presentations, creating pivot tables and analyzing data.
  • Willing and able to travel a minimum of 70% of the time, primarily domestically.

Responsibilities

  • Managing business relationships with assigned channel partners, which may include Corporate and/or Regional Business relationships.
  • Developing an approved 3 Year Business Plan as part of the business planning cycle with assigned channel partners.
  • Disseminating BASF's core strategy, channel goals, and objectives throughout all levels of the Channel’s organization.
  • Communicating and facilitating sales responsibilities with Regional and District managers.
  • Identifying business opportunities for assigned distributor(s) and working with relevant BASF groups to provide required resources.
