About The Position

Butler Machinery is looking for a motivated, people‑oriented individual to join our Ag Division and contribute to a wide range of sales and marketing initiatives. This role requires 15–20 hours per week during the school year with full-time availability during breaks. Work Location: Candidates must be located at, and work from, our corporate office in Fargo, ND. Position is not eligible to be remote.

Requirements

Actively pursuing a degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Strong problem‑solving abilities
Strong computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
Outgoing, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple departments
Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment

Responsibilities

Support the Used Agriculture team with marketing efforts for pre-owned equipment.
Assist with competitive program reviews and pricing analysis.
Contribute to the development of strategic marketing and distribution plans for the Ag Division.
Research, analyze, and develop market penetration insights.
Partner with Inventory Control on new equipment inventory and configuration tasks.
Provide support to the Used Equipment Manager, including participating in customer calls and helping with special projects.
Work with the Ag Team on planning and logistics for various initiatives.
Travel with and assist the Sales team during customer visits.
Participate in training on Butler Machinery’s sales processes and techniques.
Works within and promotes the vision, mission, and values of BMC.
Perform other duties as assigned.
