About The Position

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Afterschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to cultivate a positive learning environment. This role involves caring for children, implementing curriculum, fostering social-emotional development, and maintaining a nurturing and structured classroom environment. Hours would be from 2PM to 6PM.

Requirements

Must be at least 25 years old
Clean driving record (required to drive center bus/vehicles)
High school diploma or GED required
Experience working with elementary and middle school summer camps and field trips
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements

Responsibilities

Create a nurturing and safe learning environment for children
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure a holistic learning experience for each child
Foster a love of learning through engaging and interactive lesson plans
Supervise and engage with children to promote positive behavior and development.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding child progress, concerns, and milestones.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning space.
Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing regulations.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
