About The Position

The Mayerson JCC connects people so that they can live happier and fuller lives, creating a more vibrant Jewish community. The JCC helps to foster social connections between its members and guests alike, bringing people together through a wide variety of programs and events. With an expansive fitness center, highly regarded early childhood school and senior center, arts and cultural events offered throughout the year, and classes for every age, the JCC connects, enriches, and inspires over 27,000 visitors per month. The JCC welcomes and engages everyone, regardless of race, religion, or ability.

The Afternoon Enrichment Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging and educational activities for students in the afternoon enrichment program. This includes developing lesson plans, creating hands-on learning experiences, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment for students from ages 3 -13. The Afternoon Enrichment Teacher will ensure the safety of the students involved.

Ensure children are cared for in a safe environment. Be attentive to needs of and engaged with each child. Provide safe and age-appropriate activities for children. Maintain clean, neat and presentable classrooms. Record Accurate attendance daily. Communicate with teachers about each child’s needs. Monday through Friday 12:45pm – 6:00pm

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Available to work part-time
• Enjoys working and interacting with children
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Outgoing personality
