About The Position
Senior Helpers are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Afternoon Caregiver to help give back to our aging seniors in Honolulu, HI. This role plays a critical part in ensuring to provide professional and compassionate care to our aging seniors in the community. As a valued member of the Senior Helpers - Honolulu-Moanalua team, you will support seniors in maintaining their independence and improving their quality of life through attentive and personalized care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare role preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of seniors.
- Ability to work afternoons and adhere to a reliable schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping seniors live fuller, happier lives.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of caregiver experience, professionally or with family. CNA license preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of background check & drug screen
- Able to perform physical tasks & lift up to 50lbs
- Reliable transportation required
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment in clients’ homes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and the care team to provide updates and report any concerns.
