About The Position
The Learning Experience is seeking a friendly, reliable Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our team for afternoon coverage. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants a consistent weekday schedule in a positive, team-oriented daycare and preschool environment. You’ll support classrooms during the busy afternoon hours, helping children transition through activities, play, and end-of-day routines in a safe and engaging setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred
- Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Dependable, energetic, and enjoys working with young children
- Must meet all state childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines
- Help carry out fun, age-appropriate learning activities and projects
- Support children’s social, emotional, and early learning development
- Help supervise play, snacks, clean-up, and transitions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with families and teammates
- Float between infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed
- Follow all health, safety, and state childcare licensing guidelines
