Beansprouts Preschool is looking for a part-time Assistant Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year! Founded in 1980 in Park Slope, Brooklyn, Beansprouts offers preschool, after-school, and day camp programming and serves children from ages 1.9 to 9. Requirements
- Have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, or be working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related (minimum of 90 credits required)
- Have a minimum of two-three years of experience working with children.
- Be able to work Monday - Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm.
- Should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills; and be team-oriented, nurturing, patient, and reliable.
- Should be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting children and year-round outdoor activities.
- As per Department of Health regulations, a background check and medical will be required for employment.
Responsibilities
- Nurture the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children
- Establish a mutually respectful and productive classroom
- Engage and support children in play-based activities
- Work collaboratively with other team members
- Engage in ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned
