About The Position

This business-to-business sales position is responsible for the sale of contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts sales. The role involves pursuing new business and developing key existing accounts in an assigned territory. Responsibilities include analyzing opportunities, identifying key personnel, and developing strong business relationships via cold calls, presentations, and following up on leads for new business. The position also requires developing sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts, conducting product demonstrations and sales presentations, preparing quotations, cost reports, performance reports, and customer correspondence. Additionally, the candidate will develop a territory management plan to maximize time with customers to seek new business and enhance customer retention by monitoring customer satisfaction. Accurate record-keeping of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity information is essential, as well as discussing sales activities with management.

Requirements

  • Less than 2 years related experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalency.

  • Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program, or several years of successful sales experience a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours to prepare for sales activities.
  • Possess several years of successful sales experience; business to business (B2B) experience; problem solving capabilities; strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and self-motivation; and the ability to work in a team environment.
