Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Work with representatives and customers to prepare estimates and quotations and follow up on leads to secure orders. Develop customer relationships necessary to drive and increase sales. • Skilled at reading and interpreting design drawings and specifications including PDF, CAD, or other as may be received. • Ability to write RFI’s in a clear, concise, and timely manner to facilitate a complete and accurate estimate/bid. • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers necessary to secure competitive pricing on material and external processing. • Ability to identify items outside of our shop capabilities that may need to be outsourced or excluded. • Work with project management following a successful bid, to ensure an accurate transferring of information and defining of scope, including revisions, additions, and deletions. • Work with Operations to resolve engineering and/or manufacturing questions that arise for projects under management; escalate issues to the appropriate level of management for prompt resolution. • Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, and production times. • Provide explanations of deviations in actual performance to projected performance for each job under management. • Work with customers to develop their design requirements for future projects. • Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts. Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop strong business relationships via cold calls, in person meetings, presentations, and following up on leads for new business.. • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the company's engineered product design, functions, applications, and specifications. • Must be able to develop and implement strategic sales plan to close orders and meet and/or exceed annual sales goals. • Assist in the resolution of customer service problems. • Effectively promote aftermarket parts by analyzing customer’s existing machinery and potential needs. • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive account specific growth strategies. • Planning or scheduling meetings, presentations, or travel arrangements. Other duties that may be assigned that will contribute toward the Company meeting its goals QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Knowledge in material handling, steel fabrication, conveyors, crushing and screening circuits. • This position demands a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a focus on building lasting customer and supplier relationships. • Solid decision-making skills and ability to exercise good judgement. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines, work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. • Ability to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events. • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple departments and diverse personalities. • Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills. • Three years’ sales experience, including new account development, prospecting, and cold calling; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier. • Working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and other Microsoft Office programs is required. Additional consideration will be given to individuals who are proficient in other softwares, such as Tekla EPM, AutoCAD, Inventor, Bluebeam, Adobe, etc. Working Conditions • Working conditions are normal for an office environment, lighting, office, or open cubicle. • Noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. • Site visits are required in Industrial Settings. o Site visits can be outdoors as well as indoors. The customers operations maybe in process at the time of visits. These visits can require walking on soft and/or uneven ground, exposure to elements and dust, moving equipment and other hazards that you need to be aware of and proactive in protecting yourself and those in potentially dangerous environments. o Ability to wear required PPE • Position may require overtime, weekend and/or evening work.
