Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Current RN license in good standing
  • 1+ year of clinical nursing experience (hospice or home health preferred)
  • Compassionate heart, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs. and travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled, compassionate hospice care to patients and families during after-hours and on-call shifts.
  • Assess and respond to changes in patient condition, ensuring comfort and dignity.
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, physicians, and family members.
  • Educate and support patients, caregivers, and facility staff on the hospice philosophy and care plan.
  • Offer emotional and spiritual support at all stages, including end-of-life care and bereavement.
