About The Position

St. Ann Catholic Church is seeking a caring and dependable Part‑Time Aftercare Aide to support the supervision and well‑being of students enrolled in the parish school’s aftercare program. This position assists in providing a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for children at the end of the school day. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, demonstrates patience and responsibility, and supports the mission and values of Catholic education.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or parish setting preferred.
• Ability to supervise groups of children with patience, consistency, and attentiveness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
• Willingness to support the mission and values of St. Ann Catholic Church and School.
• Must meet any required Archdiocesan compliance standards, including Safe Environment training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during aftercare hours, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
• Assist with homework, quiet activities, and age‑appropriate play.
• Maintain attentive supervision both indoors and outdoors.
• Support daily routines, including snack distribution, cleanup, and transitions.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and school staff.
• Uphold program rules, reinforce expectations, and model appropriate behavior.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and follow established safety procedures.
• Help create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the values of the parish and school community.
