The Healthy Living department is looking for a Kids Power Program Instructor to join our team. If you enjoy working with young people and have a passion for healthy living, this role is for you! This person will co-facilitate the Kids Power after school wellness program at area elementary schools in North Pinellas and Pasco Counties. The job includes facilitating healthy living education sessions at YMCA after school care sites to include travel, prep, set-up and break-down, curriculum delivery, and any/all data tracking as needed. This individual is personable, professional, and has the ability to communicate in a positive and productive manner with the participants, parents and/or guardians, staff, and facility/school personnel. This program requires the applicant to be 16 years old or older. JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for instructing safe and effective enrichment classes. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Research shows that some candidates apply only if they meet all of the job criteria. Must demonstrate the ability to teach a safe and effective class. Prior experience in specialty preferred. Upon hire, must Intro to the Ys Cause & Culture, Y's Way to Service & Engagement, and I Hear You: Service with CARE. Get SMART, CPR/AED and First Aid preferred.
