About The Position
Group Leader: Afterschool Teacher - Part-time Group Leader Wylie, TX AlphaBEST: After School is where adventures begin! Location: Wylie ISD 2025-2026 School Year Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30 PM-6:30 PM Pay & Benefits: $15 hourly rate Part-time benefits including health available Employee referral program Discounts on program tuition for dependents As an AlphaBEST Guide, you'll be trained and have the chance to do the following:
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by state childcare licensing regulations
Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate core programming to advance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children.
- Work collaboratively with peers to share program-related information and complete adventurous tasks that ignite a child's sense of wonder.
- Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on the student's interests and talents.
- Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.
