About The Position

The After School Program Facilitator position is a 12-month position that would typically work Monday – Friday between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. following the school calendar and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer months. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. The program serves students in grades 4th to 12th that are involved in the Juvenile Justice or Child Welfare Program. This position includes responsibilities of transporting youth to and from the Rochester office for programming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Education, Criminal Justice or Criminology field from an accredited college or university preferred or High School diploma and at least two years working with youth in any setting.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (Pennsylvania or for the state in which resides) and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be eligible for PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions and support skill development in Financial Literacy, Anger Management, Social Skills, Community Service, and Safety to at-risk youth.
  • Transport students safely and efficiently for participation in the program.
  • Manage behavioral systems such as token economies for program participants.
  • Follow and support the writing of program policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Meet the hours of the position, which may include evenings/weekends and on-call hours.
  • Communicate with family and referring agencies on youth’s progress in the program.
  • Complete monthly reports outlining participants' progress and attendance.
  • Act as a role model and offer support when necessary.
  • Support participants in any academic commitments.
  • Attend departmental and professional trainings, workshops, and conferences.
