Position: The primary focus of an After School STEM Enrichment Instructor Lower Merion area will be to teach Snapology programs at elementary schools in the Lower Merion area at the end of the school day. After School STEM Enrichment Instructor Lower Merion area are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) concepts. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism. This position is for classes in winter session which begins this month. Candidate must be available to begin immediately upon completing training, usually within one week. Requirements

State and Federal Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances must be current and cleared to work with children in PA.
High School diploma
Experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Ability to communicate effectively orally in English
Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Weekday after-school classes; must be available to work between 315-515pm at least two days per week.

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience recommended; College students pursuing a degree in education are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Lead groups of up to 15 students through curriculum-guided activities
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in live training sessions
Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
