About The Position

The Entry-Level After-School Staff position at STAR Education offers a unique opportunity to work with K-5th grade students, focusing on their educational development and well-being. Requirements

• A minimum of 12 college/university units in relevant fields such as Child Development, Early Childhood Development, Art, Music, Dance, Physical Education, Psychology, Sociology, Sports, or Yoga.
• Alternatively, six units with current enrollment in six additional units, with transcripts required for verification.
• Previous experience of approximately six months working with children, either paid or volunteer.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in coaching, recreation leadership, teaching, or youth development programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with a group of 15 to 20 K-5th grade students during after-school hours.
• Assist in the implementation of educational and enrichment activities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students while participating in various activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
