Goddard Riverside is partnering with the Susan Rubenstein Foundation to ease poverty and expand opportunities for children and families by operating a high-quality afterschool program on the Upper East Side. The Jack August Afterschool Program, located at the Stanley Isaacs Community Center, serves young people from the Isaacs/Holmes NYCHA development. The program operates during the school year on weekdays, providing safe, enriching, and developmentally appropriate activities during non-school hours. Programming is intentionally designed to reflect the needs, interests, and strengths of the local community. The Afterschool/Behavior IEP Coach provides targeted coaching and support to students with identified communication, behavior, social-emotional, and IEP related needs. The role reinforces expressive/receptive language development, articulation, emotional regulation, and positive behavior strategies within an enrichment setting. This is a coaching role, not a clinical or therapeutic and designed to complement school-based IEP goals through structured support, relationship building, and skill practice.
