About The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to facilitate a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum. Each session is designed to be high-energy, combining entertainment and education in a hands-on class format. The program meets for one hour each week for a duration of 8-10 weeks, and we are seeking someone who enjoys teaching young children the art of science. There may also be occasional daytime programming available if your schedule allows.

Requirements

• Some experience working with groups of elementary-age (4-12) children (preferred).
• Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Must have reliable transportation that is not public or ride share.
• All employees will be fingerprinted for criminal background checks (required).
• Some college education is preferred.
• Have a fun & outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
• Conducting high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on classes that meet for one hour each week for 8-10 weeks.
• Teaching young children the art of science in an engaging manner.
• Participating in occasional daytime programming if availability allows.
