About The Position

Are you ready to turn your passion for STEM into purpose? HOKALI, a Y Combinator–backed leader in after-school programs, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated STEM Instructor to join our community in Lancaster, CA. We partner with over 200 schools across the U.S., creating enriching after-school experiences that help students grow, explore new interests, and build confidence.
This program will take place at Eastside Union School District in Lancaster, CA.
Program Dates:
Monday, March 30th to Friday, April 3rd
Schedule (Four Classes Per Day):
8:45 AM – 10:00 AM
10:15 AM – 11:30 AM
12:45 PM – 1:45 PM
2:00 PM – 3:15 PM
Instructors will lead four classes per day during this week-long program.

Requirements

• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
• Robotics
• Coding
• Engineering projects
• Hands-on science experiments
• Working with school-age children
• Prior experience working with children (classroom or enrichment setting preferred)
• Strong classroom management skills
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Ability to pass a background check
• Passion for education and youth development

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and educational STEM classes.
• Create a positive, supportive, and hands-on learning environment.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
• Teach age-appropriate STEM concepts in a safe and inclusive setting.
