We’re Actively Seeking Instructors With Experience In: Sports & Fitness: Soccer, basketball, football, general fitness Arts & Culture: Dance, music, theater, visual arts STEM & Academics: Robotics, coding, chess, academic support Wellness & Life Skills: Nutrition, mindfulness, general wellness Program Start Date: Programs are anticipated to begin in August 2026 , in alignment with the academic calendar. Compensation Programs are compensated at $30–$50 per hour, per session , depending on experience, program type, and assignment Actual schedules and total weekly hours may vary based on program assignment, school needs, and student enrollment
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children (teaching, coaching, mentoring, or similar) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead group activities in a structured setting
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must reside in or be able to reliably commute to Columbia
Responsibilities
- Lead age-appropriate enrichment classes for youth participants
- Deliver engaging sessions in your area(s) of expertise (e.g., sports, arts, STEM, wellness)
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and confidence-building
- Implement lesson plans aligned with program expectations
- Maintain professional communication with school staff and program coordinators
- Support positive behavior management strategies
- Facilitate fun, structured, and educational after-school sessions
- Support student growth through interactive and hands-on activities
- Contribute to programs designed to positively impact youth development
