About The Position

Valentine Community Schools is hiring an After School Program Director for the 2025-2026 School Year. The Program Director is responsible for working in partnership with School Districts, staff, youth, and families to develop and oversee Summer and Afterschool Programs. This position is permanent and offers up to 35 hours per week. The salary is $25 per hour, and benefits include a 100% single insurance policy paid by the district.

Requirements

  • Must have valid up to date CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers effective and creative oversight of program development including planning, staffing, training, marketing, and budgeting.
  • Maintains the highest standards and best practices of the program by ensuring compliance with school district ordinances and program licenses.
  • Oversees registration and retention of program participants.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises site-based staff teams.
  • Establishes and maintains high-quality, educational, and fun program experiences for youth.
  • Helps with planning and prepping enrichment activities for the program.
  • Acts as a role model for positive youth development practices.
  • Ensures program quality through frequent observation and assessment.
  • Assesses program needs and develops solutions in coordination with team members.
  • Supports program model documentation and evaluation efforts.
  • Establishes and maintains strong partnership relationships with school and district staff, parents, and community members.
  • Acts as a liaison and advocate for the program in community relationships.
  • Implements marketing and community outreach efforts.
  • Represents the program on relevant work groups and community groups.
  • Proactively supports development of program expansion opportunities.
  • Manages all program and administrative functions.
  • Provides regular communication to the Management Team related to program, policy & strategy, successes & challenges.
  • Monitors and oversees program financial activities to ensure mission-alignment and sustainability.
  • Ensures program is of the highest quality and built on best practices.
  • Assesses program impact and outcomes annually.
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Displays excellent communication skills.
  • Respectfully takes direction from supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
