About The Position
As the After School Program Director at Healthy Kids Programs, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the After School Program at Fletcher Elementary School in Cambridge, VT for the 2024-25 school year. This part-time position requires you to work from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM, ensuring that the program runs smoothly and effectively. Your primary responsibilities will include guiding compliance with state guidelines and Healthy Kids policies, as well as the rules set by the host school. You will be responsible for creating engaging, hands-on activities that align with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which encompasses fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Additionally, you will support students in completing their homework, becoming their ultimate homework hero. In this role, you will manage essential tasks such as maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, ensuring proper staffing levels, and fostering open communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. Collaboration with your direct report is crucial, as you will need to keep them informed about daily occurrences and address any issues that arise in a timely manner. By working together as a cohesive team, you will provide the highest quality of care, foster a positive working environment, and proactively tackle any challenges that come your way. This position is not just about managing a program; it's about creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment for school-age children.
