About The Position

Looking for a fun and rewarding way to spend your afternoons? Join our Almost Home Afterschool Program as a Counselor, where you'll help create an engaging, active, and welcoming environment for children in grades K-4. Every day is a new adventure-leading arts and crafts, organizing gym and field games, planning creative activities, assisting with homework, and fostering friendships among our students. You'll also set up and serve snacks, supervise transitions (like bathroom breaks), and ensure kids get safely to their parents at pick-up. If you have a passion for working with children and want to be part of a dynamic, energetic team, this is the perfect role for you! We're looking for responsible, enthusiastic team players who love working with kids-especially future educators, coaches, and childcare professionals. This part-time position follows the Tarrytown and Irvington school schedules and runs weekdays from 2 PM - 6 PM during the school year, with occasional early dismissal days and monthly training sessions.
