About The Position
The After-School Program Associate is responsible in assisting the Education Manager in the operations of the After School and literacy programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with youth (TK – 5th grade)
- Great communication skills
- Comfortable with enforcing program rules and policies
- Ability to lead
- Team player

- CA driver's license
Responsibilities
- Assist with homework completion
- Encourage students to develop independent problem-solving and editing skills
- Lead a specific component of daily and monthly operations and programming for the Education Department
- Provide opportunities for children to succeed, develop, and strengthen academic, physical, and social skills
- Actively seek professional development and resources to further support youth and families
- Report possible cases of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment to the proper authorities
- Escort children from the pick-up locations to the Kroc Center
- Ensure Child Safety Policies are practiced constantly
- Design, plan, and implement weekly lessons and activities
- Research resources and tools for students and families
- Build a positive rapport with all children and their families
- Assist with the transportation of program participants
- Other related duties as required
