Values: Be Excellent Be Kind JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: After-School Literacy Program Coach Employment: Part -time Pay: $1 8 - 21 /hour Reports To: Program Coordinator Work Hours: 5-10 hours per week for the school year Benefits: semesterly merit-based raises (a possible $0.50 increase each continued semester capping at $ 21 /hour); professional development and mentorship opportunities Supervisory Responsibility: None FLSA Status: Non-Exempt SUMMARY The Program Coach is responsible for delivering the Read Better Be Better after - school literacy program . The Program Coach will usually be the only certified RBBB employee on site , facilitating a program of up to 32 students. The Program Coach may facilitate the RBBB K - 1 program and/or the 2-3 program. The RBBB K - 1 program is delivered to kindergarten /1st-grade Readers and their 4th/5th-grade Leaders; the RBBB 2-3 program is delivered to 2 nd / 3 rd -grade Readers and their middle school Leaders. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Attend RBBB Orientati o n and Program Coach Training(s) prior to being placed at a program site. Ensure RBBB program materials are prepared , in good repair, and ready for student arrival time. Take class attendance. Facilitate Read Better Be Better activities included in the curriculum for the duration of each program session. Encourage student participation to enhance student experience. Ensure that all RBBB procedures and program structure are being followed . Wrap up each program session and dismiss students following school procedures. Return the site to order and carefully store all program materials for the next use. Train & monitor student Leaders as necessary. Maintain general communication with school certified staff to optimize student experience and performance. Effectively communicate program successes and challenges to Program Coordinator. Attend weekly offsite Coach meetings. Attend all-team mandatory meetings at RBBB headquarters each semester. Perform all other duties as assigned that are required of the employee in this job.
