About The Position

Mad Science is a hands-on kids’ science company looking for energetic, reliable instructors to lead our fun and interactive after-school programs. From bubbling potions to amazing chemical reactions, you’ll be bringing science to life for elementary school students. Mad Science is a powerhouse brand with locations around the globe! For over 35 years, we have sparked imaginative learning through our summer camps, birthday parties, in-class workshops, after-school programs, and special events for kids ages 3-12. Become part of our team and help us inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. Our locations are always looking for part-time instructors and full-time office staff.
Requirements
- Outgoing, energetic personality
- Experience working with kids (teaching, camp counseling, babysitting, etc.)
- Comfort with basic science concepts (we’ll train you on everything)
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
Responsibilities
- Lead 1-hour after-school science programs at local schools (lesson plans & materials provided)
- Deliver activities in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure student safety
- Transport and set up provided science materials (must have your own reliable transportation)
