About The Position
The position involves assisting teaching and programming staff with interventions and expanded learning programming after school from 2:00-6:00, Monday-Friday, totaling 20 hours weekly. The After School Educator will lead small groups or classes of up to 15 students in various activities, particularly focusing on art and music programming. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one assistance to students, supporting the instructor with administrative tasks such as distributing forms and equipment, collecting surveys, and ensuring students receive their daily schedule and a nutritious snack. The role is part of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), which funds after-school and summer enrichment programs for transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. The program aims to develop the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of students through engaging learning experiences.
