About The Position

The After School Drawing Instructor position at Young Rembrandts involves teaching drawing classes to elementary school children in the Greater Cleveland area. Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience working with large groups of children (teaching, coaching, volunteer work, etc.).
• Available during after-school hours (2:00 - 5:00 p.m.) at least two to three days per week.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with current auto insurance.
• Teaching or classroom experience with elementary school-aged children.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and motivate students.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of technology such as Dropbox, Google Docs, and email.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in art education or a related field.
• Working towards a college degree in education or art.
• Ability to print student rosters and other documents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach 60-minute drawing sessions for children aged 6-12.
• Manage and inspire a group of up to 20 students during classes.
• Follow the Young Rembrandts curriculum and teaching guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
• Attend monthly staff training meetings and collaborate with other instructors.
• Handle and transport art supplies, including a supply cart weighing up to 40 lbs.
