After School Child Care Assistant
About The Position
Do you love working with kids? Come join Edina Public Schools’ Community Education Department for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for individuals with a passion for childcare to assist our Program Supervisors in the planning and implementation of the summer school age program. No formal training is required. At Edina Public Schools, we pride ourselves on being a learning community where all participate and all belong. A successful candidate will be a team player, have a strong desire to learn, and be passionate about equal access to learning for all children. Your Role Will Include: Creating and running extra-curricular activities for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, including art, music, games, and more. Supervising lunch, recess, attendance and dismissal. Helping with setup of the classroom and activities.
Requirements
- No formal childcare experience is required - we are looking for individuals who have a passion for helping people and enjoy working with kids.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
