The After School Activity Leader is responsible for working with the After School Program Manager, teachers, and students to support the facilitation of high-quality extracurricular activities during the after school program. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with peers, teachers, and students, have a deep commitment to student achievement, and uphold Grow Academy school culture at all times. Duties and Responsibilities will include supervising scholars to ensure their safety, development, growth, achievement, and general well-being, overseeing the pick-up and supper portion of the after school program including grant compliance monitoring such as attendance, assisting and guiding students by appropriate role modeling, emotional support, patience, and a friendly, engaging attitude. The role also involves providing behavioral support and assistance to club/class instructors, collaborating in the development of minimum day recreational and educational activities, facilitating minimum day recreational and educational activities for universal pre-kindergarten through 8th grade students, and actively enforcing school-wide expectations, the Grow Public Schools Positive Behavior - Intervention and Supports framework, the organization's core principles, and the health and wellness policy. Additionally, the After School Activity Leader will provide guidance to students to increase academic and social emotional skills, participate in professional development trainings, support the planning, recruitment of students, and implementation of Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Camp Grow, supervise Saturday celebration activities and trips, maintain a neat, orderly, and attractive learning environment that supports learning, and perform other duties as assigned by the After School Program Manager and Administrative Team.
