About The Position

Georgia Hospice Care is seeking compassionate After-Hours Hospice Registered Nurses. The organization prioritizes work/life balance and is committed to providing high-quality care to patients and their families. As an After-Hours Hospice RN, you will advocate for patients, communicate with all parties involved in the care plan (patient, family, hospice team), and ensure patients receive quality care. This is a salaried full-time position covering on-call after-hours from Friday 5 PM to Monday 8 AM. RNs are supported by a 24/7 RN staffed Triage Department and local hospice teams. Requirements

  • A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license as a registered nurse
  • 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 80-100 lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively

  • Hospice experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Be a voice for your patients
  • Communicate with everyone involved in the plan of care-the patient, the patient’s family, and the hospice care team
  • Serve as the patient advocate being able to ensure every patient receives the quality care they deserve
  • Cover on call after hours from 5pm on Friday to 8am Monday morning
