About The Position

This position is for an experienced AFSI Site Technical Lead working with an installation team on world wide operations related to Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE). This individual will be instrumental in leading the installation crew from preinstallation to complete installation until the final turn-over of the project to the customer. The applicant will be required to lead his team through the installation of conduit, Fiber Optic, Motor Operated Valves, Differential Pressure Indicating Tranmitters, Pressure Indicating Transmitters, Flow Computers, Differential Pressure Switches and Remote Interface Units. The Lead Technician will be responsible for his team's successful installation of the project under the direction of his immediate supervisors. Applicant will be reading with understanding the engineering drawings and be responsible for relaying this information to his installation team and engineering. Lead Technician will be responsible for organizing and completing detailed records throughout the project inaccordance with the customer's standards while completing and closing out project paperwork and reports online within expected timeframes. Applicant will strive to keep the overall moral of the team in a positive direction while working with supervisors and procurement to ensure work is being accomplished. This position requires extensive travel.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance and /or Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain corporate credit card.
  • Ability to deploy to worldwide locations for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to interpret a MS Project schedule, forecast workload and manage level of effort within scheduled work weeks throughout the completion of a project.
  • Valid state driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent and formal electronics training from technical school, Class A or B military school, or completion of four-year electronics apprenticeship program.
  • Onsite practical experience related to the Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE) program needs, to include installation of: Conduit, Fiber Optic, Motor Operated Valves, Differential Pressure Indicating Transmitters, Pressure Indicating Transmitters, Flow Computers, Differential Pressure Switches and Remote Interface Units.
  • Must have a good background knowledge of the AFHE program from preinstallation through Installation completion and site turn over.
  • Possess an ability to read and understand engineering drawings and be able to relay this information to the installation team and engineering as required.
  • Ability to lead a team throughout the complete installation and customer turnover process.
  • Be able to sufficiently complete and close out paperwork/reports in line with the expected timeframe of a project.
  • Ability to understand and comply with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) specifications and work standards to include the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Ability to acquire all required certifications to install and maintain equipment maintained through an AFHE project to include all manufacture trainings and state-required UST certifications.
  • Proven proficiency with Windows OS and M365 applications
  • Ability to kneel, lift to 50 pounds, work from heights of up to 50 feet, and operate safely within confined spacesAbility to kneel, lift to 50 pounds, work from heights of up to 50 feet, and operate safely within confined spaces
