About the position

The Affordable Regional Manager at Cohen-Esrey Communities, LLC is responsible for overseeing the management of affordable housing properties across multiple states, ensuring high standards of customer fulfillment and operational excellence. This role involves building and leading a team of Property Managers, enhancing relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with government guidelines for affordable housing. The position offers a dynamic work environment focused on community building and employee empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of highly-capable Property Managers.
  • Assist the Deputy Managing Director with special projects.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective property team management and resolution of resident concerns.
  • Enhance relationships with owners, partners, and agencies to maximize financial performance.
  • Adhere to guidelines within applicable government programs for affordable properties.
  • Perform quarterly file audits and correct discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist Property Managers with marketing and retention strategies, ensuring the accuracy of marketing materials.
  • Monitor, coordinate, and prepare all financial data.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or 4+ years of commensurate experience in the Multi-Family industry in a supervisory role.
  • Regional Apartment Manager experience.
  • Affordable housing/LIHTC experience.
  • Experience using RealPage/OneSite products and MS Office.
  • Ability to travel extensively to Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, and other locations as necessary.
  • CAM, CAPS, and CPM certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Nice-to-haves

  • 4-year degree or 5+ years of commensurate experience in a Regional or Multi-site position.
  • 4+ years of Regional Apartment Manager experience.
  • Advanced experience using OneSite, MS Office, and other Multi-Family software.
  • Experience with MOR and REAC.
