About The Position

Midwest Vision Partners (MVP) is seeking a high-performing Affiliate Liaison to drive new patient growth by strengthening and expanding referral relationships. This role serves as a trusted connector between referring providers and our clinical teams-removing barriers, improving access, and supporting sustainable referral growth. The Affiliate Liaison represents the full scope of services offered by our physician practices, primarily calling on optometrists (approximately 80%) while also engaging other referring providers across the market. This role blends relationship management with disciplined sales execution, data-driven territory management, and deep provider-level knowledge. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in medical sales, healthcare liaison, provider relations, or a related field
  • Ophthalmology, optometry, or specialty healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a territory and drive measurable growth
  • Comfort using CRM systems, data, and performance metrics
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills

Responsibilities

  • Grow and retain referral volume within an assigned territory
  • Proactively identify new referral opportunities and at-risk accounts
  • Segment and manage referral sources by pipeline stage (new, developing, established, declining)
  • Execute a disciplined territory plan aligned with growth priorities
  • Develop a strong understanding of the providers represented, including specialties, clinical strengths, and access
  • Articulate the practice's value proposition clearly and credibly to referral partners
  • Maintain working knowledge of disease states, treatment pathways, and service lines
  • Understand local market dynamics and competitive landscape
  • Conduct high-quality, purpose-driven field visits
  • Move beyond "check-in" conversations to value-based discussions
  • Address barriers to referral growth by collaborating with scheduling, call center, and practice teams
  • Support transitions such as provider onboarding or retirements to ensure continuity
  • Accurately log activities, insights, and follow-up in CRM tools
  • Use data and dashboards to guide prioritization and track performance
  • Monitor referral trends and escalate risks or opportunities proactively
  • Meet or exceed defined activity and growth targets
