About The Position
The Education Specialties Department at Loyola University Maryland is seeking talented per-course instructors for our master's and certificate programs in Curriculum & Instruction for Social Justice, Educational Leadership, Educational Technology, and School Counseling. The courses may be offered at our Timonium Graduate Center, Columbia Graduate Center, and various off-site locations, including Anne Arundel County and Prince Georges County. Instructors will have the flexibility to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, catering to a diverse student body and adapting to various learning environments. We are looking for experienced educators, school leaders, and school counselors who are passionate about education and can effectively combine real-world experience with theoretical understandings of the field. The specific course needs may vary from semester to semester, and candidates are encouraged to explore our program offerings available at https://www.loyola.edu/school-education/academics/graduate. Successful candidates will be expected to engage students in meaningful learning experiences and contribute to the academic community at Loyola University Maryland. Candidates must possess a master's degree or higher in a field related to the subject they wish to teach. Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a teacher, educational leader, or school counselor, or equivalent experience in a related field. While prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level is preferred, experience with online education and specific tools used at Loyola, such as Zoom and Moodle, is also highly desirable. All successful candidates for any staff, faculty, or administrative position at Loyola University Maryland will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
