About The Position

The Education Specialties Department at Loyola University Maryland is seeking talented per-course instructors for its master's and certificate programs in Curriculum & Instruction for Social Justice, Educational Leadership, Educational Technology, and School Counseling. The courses may be offered at various locations including the Timonium Graduate Center, Columbia Graduate Center, and off-site locations such as Anne Arundel County and Prince Georges County. Instructors will have the flexibility to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, catering to a diverse student body and adapting to various learning environments. We are looking for experienced educators, school leaders, and school counselors who are passionate about education and can effectively combine real-world experience with theoretical understandings of the field. The specific course needs may vary from semester to semester, and candidates are encouraged to explore the program offerings available at Loyola University Maryland to understand the scope and focus of the courses they may be teaching. Successful candidates must possess a master's degree or higher in a field related to the subject they wish to teach. Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a teacher, educational leader, or school counselor, or equivalent experience in a related field. While prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level is preferred, experience with online education and familiarity with specific tools used at Loyola, such as Zoom and Moodle, is also highly desirable. All candidates for staff, faculty, or administrative positions at Loyola University Maryland will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
