About The Position

The Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. The number of these temporary, part-time, non-tenure track academic positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the program. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Four years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Engineering related field.
• Doctorate in relevant field.
• Professional Engineering License.

Responsibilities

• Teach part-time in Civil Engineering Technology or Architecture.
• Deliver course content to students, preparing course materials and lesson plans.
• Grade student work and provide robust feedback in a timely manner.
• Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
• Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed.
• Provide instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus.
• Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
• Adapt and learn new modes of instruction.
