About The Position

The Grand Valley State University Management Department in the Seidman College of Business invites applications for two (2) Affiliate Faculty of Instruction or Practice positions, effective Fall 2026. Initial appointments are for one year, with the potential for one-year renewals for a second year, followed by potential subsequent three-year renewable appointments, depending on departmental need. Applicants are expected to have earned a Master's degree in Management or a closely related field from an AACSB- or equivalently accredited institution by August 2026 and to be interested in teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs. All teaching interests in Management will be considered, but preference will be given to those who have experience with Business Law and/or MIS/Operations Management. Salary & Benefits: Minimum starting salary of $65,000; commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, generous employer retirement contributions, wellness resources, and tuition waiver effective on date of hire.

Requirements

  • M.B.A. or Master’s degree (or higher) in a related field by August 2026.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Evidence of current professional engagement with non-profit or business community.

Responsibilities

  • Typical teaching load is 24 credit hours per academic year with a possible three (3) credit reassignment of time to meet AACSB required research and service responsibilities.
  • Effective teaching at potentially both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Provide service to the department, college, university, and community commensurate with rank and college accreditation requirements.
  • Engage in research and professional activities commensurate with rank and college accreditation requirements.
