Are you an engineer with a passion for naval aviation, rotary-wing platforms, and mission-critical communications? We're looking for someone who understands the Navy's rotary-wing mission space—ideally with experience supporting PMA-299, working on MH-60R/S helicopters, or contributing to the Multi-Mission Data Link System (MMDL)/Hawklink. Familiarity with NAVAIR acquisition processes and C5ISR system integration is a strong plus. As an Aerospace Systems Engineer focused on Navy Helo Avionics & Data Link, you'll join KBR's MMDL/Hawklink program and help shape the next generation of airborne data connectivity for Navy helicopters and their global missions. You'll take on real-world engineering challenges—from data link testing to systems integration—that directly impact fleet readiness and mission success. Working at the intersection of engineering, mission systems, and naval air power, you'll get hands-on with advanced C5ISR technologies—designing, modifying, and optimizing electronic systems that support some of the Navy's most critical airborne platforms.

  • Apply engineering principles and technical expertise to support the development, testing, modification, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems, components, and controls on naval aircraft, particularly rotary-wing platforms.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues, particularly those related to C5ISR systems, rotary-wing aircraft and shipboard systems.
  • Support flight test planning and execution, as required.
  • Contribute to acquisition-related documentation and technical evaluation processes in support of programmatic decisions.
  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for military and industrial applications, with a focus on C5ISR systems.
  • Design and build electronic circuits and components for telecommunications, aerospace guidance and propulsion control, acoustics, or instruments and controls.
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and modifications to meet performance requirements.
  • Document design processes, testing results, and system evaluations, ensuring alignment with engineering and operational needs.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • B.S Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience overall, with at least 1 year of experience supporting Department of the Navy (DON) C5ISR systems, such as: Communications Computing/Processing Systems, ISR & Targeting Sensors, Electronic Warfare & Spectrum Operations, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Integration, Shore and Shipboard Integration for Rotary-Wing Aircraft Sensors, Networks, or Command and Control.
  • Familiarity with the NAVAIR acquisition process and program office workflows.
  • Direct experience within PMA-299 (H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopters Program), supporting USN MH-60R or MH-60S helicopters.
  • 4-5 years of experience working with a PMA office within NAVAIR.
  • Prior acquisition experience supporting DoD or USN aviation programs.
  • Graduate of USN Test Pilot School (TPS) is highly desirable.
  • Previous support of helicopter aircraft programs, especially those involving rotary-wing avionics or mission systems integration.
  • Possession of 1510 Designator or experience as an AEDO (Aerospace Engineering Duty Officer) during military service.
  • Background as an aeronautical or aerospace engineer, with systems-level integration experience on military aviation platforms.
  • 401K plan with company match
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D
  • Flexible spending account
  • Disability
  • Paid time off
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Career advancement through professional training and development
