At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As Systems Engineer on the New Glenn Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team, you will be part of a hardworking team of engineers, applying broad multidisciplinary engineering (mechanical, structural, fluids, electrical/electronic, and software) knowledge and skills to create processes and procedures for the development, implementation, certification, and sustainment of the New Glenn launch system. This role bridges traditional systems engineering with emerging AI technologies to improve development, implementation, certification, and sustainment processes. It requires understanding and knowledge of requirements definition, verification and validation, functional analysis, modeling and simulation, system safety analysis, technical measures, and specialty engineering (e.g., operability, reliability, maintainability, supportability), as well as other systems engineering lifecycle processes.
